SWAN’s 20th Anniversary Events

Oct 19, 2022 | Events

For SWAN’s 20th Anniversary, on October 1st, we held an appreciation event for our former staff, board, and volunteers.

We wanted to gather everyone who had contributed to SWAN’s work for the past 20 years and acknowledge them.

It was a wonderful time of reflection and catching up over delicious food (provided by Railtown Catering). A huge thank you to all the amazing people whose contributions have made this milestone possible.

Following our Appreciation event, SWAN held our 2022 Annual General Meeting.

Elder Ruth Alfred of ‘Namgis First Nation opened our AGM with a blessing. We are so grateful to her for taking the time to join our event.

We heard reflections from our former Board Chair, Dr. Julie Ham; our current Programs Director, Alison Clancey; and Ben Milne, representing his family foundation – one of our generous funders. Thank you to everyone who attended this special AGM!

On September 27, 2022, SWAN also held a 20th Anniversary karaoke party for the women who access our services.
