These forms of aggregated demographic information are not linked to any personal information.

However, SWAN cannot ensure the security of any personal information shared online, or guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of SWAN’s physical, technical or administrative safeguards. Visitor’s privacy settings may be affected by changes to the functionality of third-party providers (e.g. social networks).  SWAN is not responsible for the security measure of any third-party.


Collection of Information

SWAN may retain the content of any communication sent to us and the content of our responses to those messages.  SWAN may also retain any communications posted onto our website by visitors.

If you donate or purchase event tickets for a SWAN event, you will be asked to provide the information required to process the transaction. SWAN stores this information securely. Your information is not shared with any third-party except as described in this Statement.

We collect information about visitors who comment or fill out forms using the Akismet anti-spam service. We collect the data shown in the form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
