This is one of the most common questions we hear. Canada’s partial decriminalization of sex work means many aspects of the industry are illegal, while immigration regulations can result in the arrest, detention and deportation of migrants engaged in sex work.  

Canada’s current model is deeply flawed, it still criminalizes sex work overall and actually creates harm and vulnerability for people engaged in sex work.
